Domaine Thibert is a family affair

Domaine Thibert is a family affair, based in the village of Fuissé, in the heart of the great terroirs of the Mâconnais region, a stone’s throw from the rocks of Solutré and Vergisson.

Here, winegrowing is a family affair. In 1967, Andrée and René Thibert founded the estate on a modest plot of land. In 1991, their son Christophe joined the estate. He was soon followed by his sister Sandrine (1999), and more recently by his daughter Camille. Over the generations, their expertise has been refined, with respect for nature and the land. Some plots have been cultivated here for eight generations, nurturing an intimate knowledge of the local climates. The vineyard, spread across almost all the region’s crus (Mâcon, Saint-Véran, Pouilly-Loché, Pouilly-Vinzelles, Pouilly-Fuissé), is managed using ecological and organic viticulture methods, although it is not certified: traditional practices are combined with a contemporary approach, attentive to the soil, climate and natural balances. Finally, true to its roots, the family exclusively cultivates and vinifies the fruit of its own vines.
