Pouilly-Fuissé | Les Perrières

The Wine: Aromatically, it still offers a distinctive patina, falsely evolved, which indicates a need for air. A broad attack for a powerful wine, very Côte d’Orien in its accents, with the noble flavour of great terroir Chardonnays. A broad, powerful wine that time will refine beautifully.

The Terroir: A 10.72-acre plot located in Fuissé, whose old vines produce grapes of remarkable concentration. Year of planting: 1960.

East-facing plot. Deep marl-limestone soil (100-120 cm), with residual silty-clay residues, locally more silty on the surface on stable flats, more clayey and orange in depth.

Vinification: Whole bunch pressing, cold static settling. Long ageing for 23 months: for the first 10 months, 30% is aged in French oak barrels with a very fine grain, and the rest in Wine Globe. The end of the ageing process takes place in stainless steel vats. Bottling according to the lunar calendar. No filtration.
