Pouilly-Fuissé | Vignes Blanches
The Wine: A tapered attack for this wine, which is fresh in its accents, silky, full-bodied, coating and sparkling. It lingers with great delicacy, showing itself to be radiant on the finish.
A Premier Cru for ageing.
The Terroir: Terroir classified as Premier Cru from the 2020 vintage. Historic 1.33-hectare plot. It is located at the top of Fuissé, halfway up the hillside, facing south/south-east. The regular slope of around 23% allows for excellent soil drainage. More or less deep clay soils, on calcareous marl (brunisols calcisols).
Vinification: Whole bunch pressing, cold static settling. Long ageing for 23 months, 30% of which is for 10 months in French oak barrels with a very fine grain. Bottling according to the lunar calendar. No filtration.
