Pouilly Loché
The wine: Blending two vineyards, it allows you to discover the characteristics of this little-known cru: it is a very pure, young and fresh wine, sparkling with energy, obvious, quickly ready to drink; even if it ages well.
The terroir: Two neighbouring plots, ‘Les Barres’ and ‘Au Bucher’, cover 0.83 hectares in the commune of Loché. They are south/south-east facing on a 15% slope. The soils are derived from piedmont deposits and residual clays. They are deep, acidic soils on often redox clays with gravel.
Vinification: Pressing of sorted, healthy, whole berries, cold static settling. Long ageing for 21 months, 25% of which is for ten months in 100% French oak barrels with very fine grain, and the rest in stainless steel vats. Bottling according to the lunar calendar. No filtration.
