Pouilly-Vinzelles | Les Longeays

The wine: A very refined, racy, noble nose. The palate is consistent with the nose, offering a suspended, flavourful wine with a delicate texture and a sparkling finish. A true Premier Cru.

The terroir: This great terroir, classified as Premier Cru from the 2024 vintage onwards, is located in the commune of Vinzelles, at an altitude of 260 metres. This 1.99-hectare plot, halfway up the hillside, faces south/south-east. Half of the soils are Jurassic limestone, of varying depths, clayey on hard limestone with entroques. The rest is composed of medium-depth neutral clay soils.

Vinification: Whole bunch pressing, cold static settling. Long ageing for 23 months, 30% of which is for 10 months in French oak barrels with a very fine grain. Bottling according to the lunar calendar. No filtration.
